(Source: Ohio Association of County Boards) Franklin County will kick off its budgeting process today with a recommendation to the three-member Board of Commissioners to pass a $420 million general-fund plan for 2016, which would be a 5.5 percent increase over last year's budget. The recommendation, released on Monday, comes from county Administrator Kenneth Wilson, but county Commissioners Marilyn Brown, Paula Brooks and John O'Grady will have the final say.
